Follow us down the rabbit hole through the looking glass of art. Workshops, taught by known and newly discovered national and international faculty, include altered art, cloth and polymer clay dolls, mixed media, journaling, assemblage, stamping and more.

Tired of listening to your personal Jabberwock? Are you a Mad Hatter, or a Queen? Open the door to new media, new techniques, discover new places in yourself and learn to grin like a Cheshire Cat!

The philosophy of of Art Is...You, is to create a moment in time where artists, whether they be faculty or students, can come together to share in their passion for creativity. As Loretta Marvel says in her beautiful poem: Art Is... the words of joy, the tears of happiness and the bonds of friendship forged through art.

2009 will bring many challenges to our community so our philosophy extends to our 2009 mission - to make this event as accessible as it can be to as many people as possible. With this in mind, we offer various levels of registration with the hope that no matter where an artist is, in her life, she is able to escape for a few hours, a day or an entire weekend.

Registration Options

ALL NEW - Come and Play - $65/day (inc tag, bag, lunch, show n tell and much more) -This registration is for those who wish to come and play a day (or more) away. Enjoy the warmth and friendship of Art Is...You by bringing that unfinished quilt, doll, canvas or assemblage and indulge yourself in a studio away from home. Start your day journaling with Loretta Marvel (included in price), followed by working on your own project. Join everyone for lunch and show and tell. Enjoy the weekend marketplace, Art is...Tag, Bag and all the traditional goodies that attendees have come to know and love. Every Come and Play attendees will have access to power, with a table and chair provided.

2008 PRICES- Three Day Registration - $420. Register and pay your deposit before March 31st and enjoy 2008 prices. Attend three full days of Art Is...You and and start each day journaling with Loretta Marvel (included in price), enjoy three days of workshops, huge lunches, show and tell every night, Thursday evening: Mad Hatter workshop and tea party, Friday evening: faculty vending, Weekend: marketplace, Art is...Tag, Bag and all the traditional goodies that attendees have come to know and love.

Two Day Registration - $290. Attend two full days of Art Is...You and start each day journaling with Loretta Marvel (included in price). Enjoy two full days of workshops, huge lunches, show and tell every night, Thursday evening: Mad Hatter workshop and tea party, Friday evening: faculty vending, Weekend: marketplace, Art is...Tag, Bag and all the traditional goodies that attendees have come to know and love.

One Day Registration - $145. Attend a full day of Art Is...You and start your day journaling with Loretta Marvel (included in price), followed by one workshop, huge lunch and show and tell. Weekend: marketplace, Art is...Tag, Bag and all the traditional goodies that attendees have come to know and love.

Mix and match. You may like to register for one Come and Play day and a one day workshop day. The choice is yours- We just want you to come.
